This product comes to us by way of the same company that’s responsible for the infamous green coffee bean. Hypercet Omega 3-6-9 claims to help balance your omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 levels in order to promote cardiovascular health, boost energy, and encourage healthy cell production.
It sounds great on the labeling… but does it really work? Is this a good fish oil supplement? Let’s take a look for ourselves.
Omega-3 is very important for healthy brain function, and quite frankly we as humans typically don’t get enough of it in a modern diet. Omega 3-6-9 contains highly concentrated amount of omega-3 fatty acids.
Omega-6 is what we already get quite a bit of. I’m surprised that Omega-3-6-9 has so much omega-6 in it. If the goal is to balance your omega-3 to omega-6 ratio, then why include so much omega-6? Again, this comes in a somewhat larger dosage than it should. This alone makes this product harder to recommend for me.
Omega-9 provides digestive support and aids your immune system. This is typically not included in a normal fish oil supplement, making this a nice surprise. However, there are other supplements (such as Marine-D3 and Prograde’s Krill Oil) that include digestive enzymes which prove to be more effective in small clinical trials.
Serving Size & Taste
You only have to take two small tablets a day in order to get your recommended dosage which is great. There is no fishy aftertaste to speak of.
I did feel the typical results that accompany taking a fish oil supplement. I felt more alert, energetic, and happy. In addition, my blood pressure dropped a few points compared to when I don’t take omega-3 supplements. The results weren’t fantastic per-say, but Hypercet Omega 3-6-9 works. Keep in mind that specific results aren’t guaranteed and experiences may vary.
Pros and Cons
Small serving size, no fishy aftertaste.
Rich in omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids.
Promotes healthy digestion and cell production.
Keeps you alert, focused, and energized.
High dosage of omega-6, too high for the amount of omega-3.
For the price, there are more potent and effective products that do more for you.
